March 23

I rented an 85mm 1.4 lens for a wedding I'm shooting on Sunday. I talked my daughter into letting me practice with it today when I got home from work. These are SOOC. No editing done on them yet.

Pic #1 ISO 200 F1.4 SS 1/500
Pic #2 ISO 200 F3.2 SS 1/40 ( I know.. too slow of a SS!)
Pic #3 ISO 200 F5.6 SS 1/200

Thanks for looking...sorry I've been slacking lately!

March 3rd-

I'm a little behind. It's been crazy here!

This photo was taken on Saturday during the ROTC State competition. This is the Unarmed Exhibition Team that my daughter is on. She's on the bottom row, far right.

They did so well! They placed 5th overall out of 27 schools in the state. Not bad for a 4th year program!

Feb 24

These are some photos were taken at the ROTC competition today.

The first photos is my daughter during personal inspection. The inspector actually brought out a ruler to make sure her ranks and pins were properly placed and aligned.

The 2nd photo is my daughter carrying the guide for the basic drill team.

The 3rd picture is my daughter during the unarmed exhibition routine.

Our school placed 1st overall out of 20 high school ROTC units from all over the state of Florida. I am sooooooo proud of them. Kristina( DD) has been in ROTC for 3 years and we are hoping she will be the commander of the entire battalion next year. She's worked very hard and is very dedicated to ROTC.

Just a snapshot from last night. My daughter is in ROTC and we had a competition today. Every time we compete, we spend the night in the high school gym. Took this picture of my daughter.

Great Day...

Today my son brought his new girlfriend over to "Meet The Parents".. Since my son moved out to live with his grandparents when he turned 18, I don't see him everyday like I used to. I really really miss him. It's hard letting go, especially of your first born. Anyway, he came over today and I snapped this photo. It's just a snapshot but it still makes me smile!

Saturday-Photo Shoot With My Daughter

My daughter was a trooper today and let me take lots of photos of her! I took almost 200 pictures! My focus was really off today. I'm gonna have to check my settings on my camera. These were all taken in AP mode varing from 2.8 to 5.6 and various SS as well. ISO was 200.

I welcome any CC!!! Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

My Dear Daughter

I have to admit.. I didn't take this today. I took this a couple of weeks ago and never got around to editing them until today. I took this at an old vacant barn at the end of my road. It was dusk and getting dark but her eyes just pop in this photo. I did nothing to enhance her eyes.
ISO 200, AP 4.0 SS 1/60
Post Processing in PS7- USM, Maries Color Love Action, used healing brush on blemishes on her forehead.

January 2

Kevin and Kristina... saying goodbye again :-(
Kevin and his mom!

Taken at 5am this morning!! UGH... Taking Kevin to the airport. He looks so handsome in his uniform!!

January 1st!

This is really just a snapshot, but I didn't have time for a creative photograph. This is my daughter and her boyfriend Kevin on the right and his best friend on the left. Kevin is a Marine and this picture was taken during our farewell dinner on Jan 1st. Kevin had to report back to active duty after having a month at home during the holidays after bootcamp. We really enjoyed our time with him.
Thanks for looking!
